Exploring History: A Day at the Eisenhower Library on Presidents Day

On Presidents Day, February 19, 2018, I had the opportunity to visit the Eisenhower Library in Abilene, Kansas. I was there for live shots for the morning show, and as a history enthusiast, I found it fascinating to explore the exhibits and honor Dwight D. Eisenhower, our only president from Kansas. Moments like these reminded me why I love my job. Interestingly, our boss initially thought it was a bad idea, but to our surprise, we received tons of positive feedback from viewers. It turns out, many people enjoyed seeing museum exhibits featured on live TV.
