Johnny Bench in Wichita: Humor and Unexpected Silence

On June 30, 2016, baseball legend Johnny Bench visited Wichita, Kansas, to host a youth camp near downtown. What stood out most about Bench was his humor; he kept everyone laughing throughout the event. Although I didn't ask him any questions—since other sports anchors from various stations had already covered everything I wanted to know—Bench took notice and teased me, saying, "Hey, you’re the quiet guy." Anyone who knows me would find that amusing, as I’m not typically quiet at all.
