Reliving the Moment: A Local's Big Win on The Price Is Right

Back in 2016, I was working for KWCH-TV in Wichita, Kansas, and on this day, I had the chance to cover a really fun story. We spent the day with Jo Mahoney, who got to watch herself on The Price Is Right. She was the first person I’d ever met who had been on the show, and it was such a cool experience to witness her relive that moment.

Like many kids in the '90s, whenever I was home sick, The Price Is Right was my go-to show as I lounged on the couch. I can still hear the excitement from the crowd when a contestant would shout, “One dollar, Bob!”

Jo had won a car on the show, and watching her relive that incredible moment from her living room was something special.
